Fashion Future...

...a la Japanese Vogue. Everyone's favorite open-mouthed model, Coco Rocha stars on the May cover.

BTW... I made it back from my snow holiday. It was fabulous and fantastic to have no computer access, email or fashion for a week. So much fresh air, sunshine and snowboarding I almost didn't know what to do with myself!

Gone Skiing...

...see you in a week!

Fashion Superheroes...

Fashion comics may seem like a bit of a novel concept – however with titles like: “The Pride of Pradastan – Turban Warfare!!” They’ve already got me hooked.

Mark Vassallo, style director for Aussi Harper’s Bazaar has created the world’s first fashion comic - Petit Mal! The first edition unfortunately has a limited run of only 500 and your local mag stand certainly isn’t cool enough to stock it so… if you don’t live beside Colette in Paris, Corner Store in Sydney or Loveless in Tokyo – find it online at www.petitemal.com. If it happens to be sold out... I think I may already have one coming in the mail and I promise to share. Check it out - the graphics are mad!

Front Row Fashion...

Next to the models - the best hook-ups in the industry of course to go to the infamous (and famous) fashion editors, stylists, muses and society girls. Needless to say, the front row happens to be a great place to troll for some of the best fashion...

Left to right - Amanda Cutter Brooks, Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles, Tatiana Santo Domingo and Charlotte Casiraghi, Amanda Cutter Brooks and Anh Duong, Carine Roitfeld, Anna Wintour, Liz Goldwyn and Carine Roitfeld, Amy Astley.

Reading....

An entertainingly trashy read that you won't want to put down...I'll blame my lack of posts on it!

Model Citizens....

With out a doubt, some of the most interesting fashion out of fashion week comes from street style...and of that some of the most original happens to be model style.

Now before you go beating yourself up for your own lack of it - remind yourself that access to the biggest and best designers (freebies) in the world has got to help - and perhaps the odd campaign wouldn't hurt (your wallet) either?

Chloe or Marni??

Don't get me wrong...I'm a fan of both Marni and Chloe. However, I like my Chloe to look like Chloe and my Marni to look like Marni! When my Chloe starts looking like Marni...I would rather just have Marni, no?? What do you think?

All that being said...I'm down with the boots...

Balenciaga Gang

Apologies that this post is almost "old news" by now...but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to comment on the Balenciaga show. After his singular vision of cyber-bots in Spring 07 I love that Nicolas Ghesquière did a 180 for Fall and returned to his "cool-girl" roots. Somehow it reminded me of his Spring 02 collection - so many layers of reference where does one begin? School-girl/Aztec fusion - and yet somehow it just works. Bravo Nicholas.

Tisci Heads Out to Sea...

...and leaves all behind. Literally. Not much needs to be said for such a concise collection. Sleek, slightly nautical jackets, wide- leg sailor pants, dresses evoking reef-coral, fish-tail skirts. No shell was left unturned - ok I'll stop.

Stunning. There.

Thanks to style.com for the pics.
