YSL Dies at 71

After battling a long illness the legendary king of fashion, Yves Saint Laurent, reportedly passed away at his Paris apartment Sunday night. And although he apparently wished that he would've invented blue jeans - we'll have to be content with Le Smoking and many other iconic pieces left behind.

Since nobody commented on this post I thought I would!
When I heard the news that he had passed away I was at a loss for words. I was very interested and equally intrigued by his life and dedication to the fashion industry. A few years ago I read the book "The beautiful fall" its all about Yves and Karl and how they both changed fashion. It was an indepth look into their lives. The book even received lots of critisism! If you read it, you must read what the author has to say at the end!
