Imitation is Flattery?

Clearly there are very few "new" ideas in fashion but honestly where do we draw the line? Net-a-porter being "inspired" by Scott Schuman's photographic style - is that cool? Couldn't they have just hired him to shoot their latest Uptown Girl spread? I don't know where I stand on this.

For something like a photographic style so distinctly unique as Scott's I think it a tad disrespectful that they so blatantly copied him. But that's just my two-cents.

The poses are a bit staticky and forced. The Sartorialist is more natural than this anyways...

I agree - it just showed that you cant copy something that is totally born from one person's style/art, as these shots are just boring in comparison.
