YSL SVP...

Alright so obviously you'd have to be a hermit not to have heard and headed the wise words of all the economists right now... but should we be "embarrassed" during the recession to carry a designer handbag? If I invest in one bag and carry it everyday for at least a year - instead of buying 2 or 3 cheaper bags to get me through the same time... what's the diff? Regardless, I'm in lust with this YSL Besace bag. It's subtle, sophisticated and doesn't look at all like one of those (shudder) "it" bags!

Ohhh, drool. If you can afford a luxury during eco-challenged times, you should go ahead and do it! It's not like you are going to leave the price tag on and obnoxiously rub it up against some wall street banker...hee hee

LOL @ "(shudder) 'it' bag" ;)
Thank you for that. I'm glad I'm not the only one who reacts that way.

Yep, really super nice bag there. I like the design, size, color, shape and material. I find that grey is a good colour to break (or add to) an all-black or nude ensemble. It's also a clean match to black or brown shoes. :)

That is a very covetable bag indeed... but this makes me realize that not even how bad we can be economically I will never stop splurging on items as beautiful as this bag. <3

Uber gorgeousness!
I completely agree, and a a luxury item produced ethically (labor & environment) is so much more sustainable than a cheap bag, it's a real investment, and the 'coup de coeur' cost is priceless anyway! ;)

i think it's more profitable if you buy one of those designer bags of good quality and use it endlessly, rather than buy 3 cheaper bags of lower quality.
go for it!
