#3 Come-on Something, Anything GREEN

Follow Susie Bubble's lead and do something ANYTHING green this Fall. Proposals: buy vintage instead of cheap clothes, pack home your purchases in a "green" bag instead of all the heavy over-wrapping from the shops or stop ordering online (ok cut back on online spending... too much jet-fuel involved). Ok I promise that's it for my Sunday preaching.

#4 Boyfriend Jeans

The go-to jean for Fall has got to be the "boyfriend" jean or "mom" jean. They are the antithesis of your closet full of skinny's and will require a little work to make 'em happen. Do not even consider attempting these without high heels. As some of you probably remember I've been lusting after these jeans for quite some time, but unfortunately they couldn't be found in Barney's nor Reborn... so I had to get creative. Where did I find them you might ask? Umm... men's department at H&M. $49.95. Cute!!!

#5 French Je Ne Sais Quoi

Normalment, I spend a week of each September in Paris - which is (of course) the best way to kick off Fall. Firstly ALL luxury goods are cheaper in Europe. And by cheaper I mean significantly. Never by luxury goods in Canada if at all possible. Secondly, true French fashion doesn't get better than French labels Isabel Marant, A.P.C. and Vanessa Bruno. For inspiration look no further than Emmanuelle Alt herself. If you're finding yourself disturbingly attracted to harem pants, leather and an au natural look - blame it on Alt. Her effortless style is unmatched and completely covetable. Go.

Erin Wasson's "Frumpy Sexiness"

"Frumpy sexiness. If I'm buying a T-shirt, I buy it oversized. I like oversized jeans, I like oversized denim shorts, I like oversized jackets. I like having an undone, loose feel to everything. You know, there's so much of a tomboy in me where I still enjoy wearing guy's clothes. More often than not I'll go to a store and I'll be in the men's section buying men's pants, or a men's vest, or a men's button-down shirt or something. It's hard for me in women's departments because the stuff is a little bit too feminine, or a little bit too frilly, or a little bit too girly."

#6 Erin Wasson Sexy Goddess Hair

OK this might just be a personal one - but I had to add it the The Glossy Guide to Fall because I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling the need for this I-just-rolled-out-of-your-bed-perfect -- bed head look that Erin Wasson has conquered. Side note: I have pin straight hair... and no clue how to achieve this look. (No the model is obv. not Wasson but she's rockin the same vibe). Oh ya - the clothes are pretty cute too?

#7 Anything Alexander Wang

Save your pennies, go out and seek something, anything Alexander Wang. His quality is lovely, and his brand of "model-off-duty" cool is hard to come by so make this a must on your Fall shopping list. (I lucked out and found an amazing pair of super-high waisted black dress pants 50% off in London...had to share:)

Words by the man himself to inspire you on your Sunday. Personal favorite - his rating of the last decades - no surpirse The 90's got a 10!

#8 Leather Leggings...

Yah you heard me. I said #8 was leather leggings. These puppies are from Topshop Unique and I'm thinking that maybe they really are unique? How is it that the collection went on sale oh-so-recently and already my beloved leather leggings are already SOLD OUT!? I don't understand.

I'm consoling myself by thinking if they actually are sold out then perhaps they will have their repeat order in stores for my September visit? Are you listening Topshop Gods?????

The Glossy Guide to Fall: #9 Plaid!

Think Olsen and find yourself some plaid for Fall. Best when paired with deconstructed denim and attitude to match.

Question....

Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking upon picking up the mega issue of September Vogue?

What the hell happened to Keira Knightley's hair!? I haven't yet cracked the cover but I'm hoping the mystery will be uncovered on one of the 798 pgs?

The Glossy Guide to Fall: #10

First and foremost apologies for my long departure from The Glossy. I wish I could say I had my "toes in the sand" this entire time - but the truth is I did a quick trip across the pond to London, then took a week in the Carribean and THEN hit up New York. What I discovered was - the weather has been pretty much shit if you live somewhere in the Eastern part of North America or anywhere in the UK for that matter so what this has lead to is EARLY FALL!!! The shopping is incredible right now (I think I've already blown my Fall budget oops) - which leads to the first of  my Fall Top 10!!

#10 may-jah BOOTS

You are going to need some serious boots if you don't already have some. I found these ones at Barney's Co-op and they called my name. Why they're essential for Fall 09? They will work perfectly with carrot-shaped ripped jeans and something soft and pretty on top. I'm thinking a blush pink blouse or even some lace? If you're more daring channel your inner "teen-spirit" and think early 90's and rock 'em with a dress.
