I am Lion Hear Me Roar

I love myself a fierce cover shot and Lithuanian stunner Giedre Dukauskaite sinks it for the new cover of 10. Ya.

Geometry Lesson

Bold and graphic use of jet-black kohl and vinyl hairbands contrasting against the models pale palour at Armani Prive. Inspirational.

File Under: Must Have

I freakin love these Dior Homme high top sneakers. They are perfection packaged in black. I unfortunately have a small problem paying $800 for them... or any sneaker for that matter. Ergh.

"Real Clothes"

I have no fucking idea what that means. "Real clothes". But apparently that's what Jack and Lazaro said they were doing when they created their latest Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall collection. I mean real clothes - as opposed to fake clothes? Whatevs. All I know is I like 'em. If I saw them hanging in a real store in front of me I would want to buy them. And by them - I mean all. Like max-your-24% interest-visa out kind of all. Shoes. Jackets. Skirts (since when have you really wanted a skirt??). BAGS. Gah.

Tokyo Drifting

I left Tokyo a few days ago, hit another unmentionable Asian city (not quite as lovely as Tokyo and subsequently left as quickly as possible) and finally made it to Hong Kong. I'm here working my ass off for the next week - and with that in mind I'm hoping that the worst of my jet-lag is behind me? Hmm. I thought I'd share a few pics from Tokyo. It's hard to describe such a effervescent city - full of so many contradictions. Like - how is it possible with a population of approximately 12 million - that it's so sparkling clean you find yourself in awe of the spotless public restrooms and the immaculate side walks?? And the attention to detail?! The stores are like mini universes unto themselves! My photo's are not star quality (and don't really do them justice) but I had to share. Enjoy. xx

A tiny boutique in the back streets of Harajuku. I wanted to move in it was so pretty!

A cafe where I stopped for lunch - too cute.

An accessory store specializing in skull rings, studded cuffs, belts and enough tough shit to make the wrists of La Lanphear jealous!

Lara Stone Paris Vogue WOW

I think I'm either rendered speechless by the intensity of Lara Stone on the Feb cover of Paris Vogue - or I'm completely brain dead. I flew into Tokyo 2 days ago and have been seriously fighting my jet-lag. Like some bad cliche from Lost in Translation I'm contemplating visiting the piano bar (for lack of options) at 3 in the morning! Argh. Anyhow - the shopping is insane. More later. Kisses, The Glossy Ed.

Covetable Crochet

Delicate, unique and yes, definitely covetable - are all words that come to mind when I think about Arielle de Pinto's devine jewelry. Each piece is hand crocheted out of silver or gold - creating an imperfect chain that is both strong and delicate looking at the same time. I think best when worn in multiples, but each is equally lovely on its own. I own a selection of her superb necklaces in a variety of colours, and a bracelet also. My BF luckily knows my weakness for this collection and has been know to frequent Reborn for birthdays and other occasions. She has been getting great international press from mags like Nylon, Lucky and others. So nice to see a home-girl make good. Had to share, hope you like!
