File Under: Jimi Part 2
I've been meaning to blog about this for eons... but life, work, play has got in the way.
I posted awhile back about my BFF's sick old Lee jean jacket. This was a piece from our past that conjured up memories of our first real pay cheques, pricey sushi dinners out, and a few boy-toys (hers not mine) haha.
And how great is she? About a week later... what showed up in the mail?? THE jean jacket! Granted she was sporting a beautiful baby bump at the time - that may not have fit under said jacket - but regardless the classic is out on loan and has become my go-to. I promised to return it come Fall. Perfect time for her to rock it with a stroller - and enough time for me to find one on Ebay? Hmmm.

Dark Shadow
So not relevant for the Montreal summer... but I stumbled upon these sick Rick Owens Dark Shadow "leggings" (dirty word they're totally more like jeans!) and I needed to own them. I know they'll get limited wear in the next couple months, but come Fall I'm going to be ecstatic to have them in my wardrobe. I must confess the shop girl even told me "not to wash them" as they'll fade... and I STILL bought them. Lol.

Wang Fall 09 Accesories
This is what you'll be wanting come Fall (and what Erin Wasson will be rocking tonight). Love that he added this washed out fucked-up grey to the repertoire... however I'm still kind of craving a brown bag from his Spring collection. I did splurge on the Brenda in black. (Such a classic!) And what about the shoes? Too much! Want them all! What to do?????

Apocalypse Now!
Forward looking, subversive and concise. And yet pretty, edgy, modern and referential at the same time. Reportedly "fed up with florals" but still wanting something "natural", he chose chemically coloured mushroom clouds as his paint - and modern, geometric shapes as his canvas. Collector's pieces are considered investments right?

Bike On!
Montreal is currently having a bit of a love affair with the bicycle. In classic Euro style it has recently installed approximately 3,000 Bixi bikes around the city and they've taken to tearing up streets left, right and centre in order to add bike lanes. (Montreal loves tearing up streets). Similar to the "Velib" in Paris, it is a share program aimed at getting more people on bikes. I myself am similarly smitten, and have taken to the Bixi like a bee-to-honey. Favorite time to ride - perhaps at 3am after a few drinks in heels and a mini - but no matter. What really matters is (bien sur) - bike style! Of course Copenhagen does it best so what better place to look for inspiration...
