Current Mood: Chill Out

Hurtling towards Easter weekend. Translation: 4 days off work. Forecast? Sunny with highs of 26 degrees?! (78F for all you south of the border). Major plans include lugging out patio furniture, the BBQ and some summer clothes! Of course wishing I had a closet full of IRO cause it kind of captures my chilled out mood (fashion and otherwise), but will let you know what I find;)

Camel is Cool

Is it just me or did every PFW diva ditch her black or grey coat from last season in favour of cool camel? These pics were only plucked from The Sartorialist - and if his blog is any indication - you're probably going to be wanting one too? Liking it best when mixed with grey jersey and authentic vintage denim. Love!

The Mix

Julia Sarr-Jamois, the new fashion editor of Wonderland and perhaps PFW star (in-the-making?) My favorite thing about all these pics is that some of her style-staples keep making re-appearances.... trusty jean jacket, fur vest, silver booties, vintage Versace bag. If someone photographed you for a week - what would your style staples be? Mine: Combat boots, BFF's vintage jean jacket, A-Wang Brenda bag, Martin Margiela coat, P. Schouler grey lace-up booties. It's the mix!

Cosmic Bedouin?

These are the things that strike me about this editorial:

1. It is 100% Emmanuelle Alt. There's almost no need to add her name credit. Her current fashion influence is rather staggering. She is single-handedly steering "cool girl" street fashion. Period.
2. Isabel Marant can do no wrong. Her brand of Talitha Getty, 60's, cyber-boho is making me cry. (Cause it's bound to impact my credit card at some point this season).
3. Camels are f-in' cool! (Umm and Natasha Poly too?)

Après-Ski

So I have enough snowflake one-sie's, fur boots, googles and such packed to keep me toasty for a week. And this is where I break the news that I'm heading to the Northern British Columbian wilderness in search of some snow. Think toasty cabin, too much food and wine, snowboarding off the front porch, friends and family. Will miss you much! Bis, The Glossy Ed.

PS. Natasha Poly does not look so impressed with D&G's snow-bunny look, non?

Army of Wang

Alexander Wang's cast of 40 top faces that were carefully selected for his F10 show. Natalia Vodianova opened and closed the show - and while it may have been a bit of a coup - I would've pegged him for someone willing to take a bit more of a risk? Otherwise a bit of a who's who in the cool girl club.

Helmut Lang F10

Not every collection can shatter your perceptions of style while simultaneously stimulating your senses and making you think that every piece of clothing you own - sucks. Ok - so the Helmut Lang fall 10 collection did NOT do that.... but I would still like to own it all?!

Teen Spirit

Glamour! Thrown to the DOGS when a medley of models in a designer mash-up styled by Karl Templer, hits of the pages of Interview Magazine. Yes - shot by Craig McDean.
